Mature flowering trees provide shade while you relax or prepare meals using the hibachi, eating right at the picnic table on the pavilion. House Design
A thorough renovation of the bungalow has just been completed, for a perfect blend of charming Old Puako with today’s standards of ease. An open floor plan and vaulted ceilings offer ocean views and maximize ventilation, while ceiling fans and bedroom air conditioning ensure comfort. Hardwood floors, tongue-and-groove paneling, claw-foot tub and an outdoor shower with appealing “petroglyph” pavers retain the bungalow feel. Fresh paint from top to bottom, as well as new light fixtures, furniture, appliances and rattan floor coverings update the interior. Two breakfast bars have been added, with seating, and a 400-square-foot ocean-view covered lanai built with high-grade decking. With ample comfortable seating, a gas grill and a dining table, this is yet another option for meals at Blue Dragon Beach Bungalow.
The centerpiece of the great room is a pair of lovely new couches covered in soft teal micro suede. The entertainment area is furnished with a soft blue rug, a buttery-leather sofa bed, overstuffed upholstered chairs and ottoman and a coffee table—perfect for watching television or curling up with a good book. The glass dining table seats six; a one-of-a-kind hand-painted mirror cheers this side of the room, along with the colorful newly upgraded full kitchen.
