This condo is lovely. It has everything you need and the location is great .It is right across from the beach and we really enjoyed listening to the sound of the ocean at night as well as having a cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning. The management company is wonderful. We communicated with Mary, Robbie and Holly and all of them were very helpful and supper friendly. Highly recommend!

This was our 4 th trip to Hawaii, 3 rd to Kohala coast. Everyone of our group of 6 had high expectations, and each for different reason. This was to be a celebration of my father’s 80 B-day and a graduation gift for my daughter after a challenging medical training. Romantic trip for my son and his girlfriend. Relaxing time for my single 18 year old son and a quiet nostalgic time for me. We were not disappointed! The beautiful bay, mountains, turtles, singing birds….and the beach house itself spacious with wide veranda and patio so tastefully set up, furnished and decorated was soothing in itself. The kitchen is very well equipped in everything a gourmet cook could possibly need…all 3 of my children believe they are in this category. They cooked and barbecued. We celebrated all our events under the starry dark Hawaiian sky. I had my quiet nostalgic time and read a historic novel about Catherine of Aragon. We enjoyed walks to the local store for many things and it was very practical to have basic products delivered before our arrival. My father is convinced this was the best vacation in his life, but would not mind returning to improve some impressions. We still did not managed to climb on Mauna Kea, but we had a great glimpse of it in the setting sun one evening. I hope we can return soon. I strongly recommend it to any family or group of friends.

Ten of our family rented Ulu Niu and Ehu Kai (just next door) for a week and loved every minute of our time in these houses as well as the incredible beach in our backyard. Renting both houses afforded us all plenty of privacy as well as lots of time together and made us closer as a family. Great snorkeling, fantastic BBQ’s and wonderful dinners on the lanai’s. These are charming houses, easy to live in.

The Treehouse is clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with good utensils, sharp knives and good pots and pans, cleaning supplies, etc. The booking agents, Mary and Robbie of 2 Papayas are extremely helpful. They even arrange to have your kitchen stocked with the foods you want prior to your arrival. The location is great; just steps from the beach. Puako’s shoreline is largely a shallow rock ledge with lots of tide pools – which are a favorite hangout for turtles. One of the best features of the unit is a guide book put together by Mary Fox listing numerous places to eat, shop, and play; places that do not appear in commercial guide books. Her personal comments let you know that she has been to every place she recommends. Follow her advice – she has excellent taste; be sure to get chicken or ribs from the houli-houli boys as she recommends! We would recommend the Treehouse to any couple. We recommend using Mary Fox and 2 Papayas to anyone looking for accommodations in or near Puako; we will be doing so again in the future.

There are not nearly enough stars for me to click in response to this property. it has completely ruined me for any other hawaii property. “beautiful,” “peaceful,” “refreshing,” “spectacular,” “calming,” “inspiring,” … i’m running out of words, yet none of them quite captures the power of this place. i can’t wait to go back. do yourself a favor and rent this home! what more can i say? i’m hooked.

This home is truly magnificent and luxurious. Situated on the ocean’s edge, it provides privacy in which to enjoy the beautiful ocean scenery as well as breath-taking sunsets. However, its proximity to shopping (Starbuck’s, grocery store, unique shops, golf, etc.) makes it a perfect location for an amazing vacation. The home itself is majestic with palatial bedrooms and state-of-the art fixtures. The kitchen is a chef’s dream complete with every possible utensil, gadget, and tool. The décor is splendid and perfect and so inviting! Our time spent in this stunning home was nothing less than perfect and we look forward to our next trip!

Plumeria Cottage certainly lived up to the descriptions and photos in the online listing. The house was comfortable, clean, well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed. The Two Papayas management was gracious, generous, welcoming and responsive to our needs and concerns. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to petroglyphs, tidepools, nearby hotel activities and restaurants. We felt at home in the friendly Puako community and are looking forward to returning as soon as we can. We would absolutely recommend this property to friends or family.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very well equipped with everything from boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and coolers. Located on a very quiet street and no more than 200 feet from the public beach access. We were met at the cottage by Holly and she answered any questions we had, a nice personal touch that we have never had at any other VRBO property! She gave us a few suggestions of places to eat, beaches, etc. It was a wonderful place to stay, so much more value for your money than a hotel! We would definitely come back!

We LOVED our week at Hale Ohana. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The house is beautifully decorated, yet so comfortable and private. The couches, beds, lounge chairs, and the awesome built-in daybed on the lanai were so inviting. I normally hate to cook while on vacation, but dinners at sunset on the lanai (with grilled fish from the fish market 5 min. away) were unforgettable. Every suggestion Robbie made yielded a great find. I hope to be able to return to Puako and Hale Ohana. Mahalo for such a wonderful vacation.
